ummm....."y" is also considered as a vowel unfortunately:(:

" A letter, such as a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes y in the English alphabet, that represents a vowel."

The only words i can think of are; CWN,CRWTH,TV,NTH,MR,MRS,......and also Shh,Psst, mmm, hmmm

da last three r considered as words bt only PSST appears in the English OXFORD DICTIONARY.

yh i was thinkin of that 2...bt.....

"Q. Are there any English words that do not have vowels?"
"A. It depends what you mean by "vowel" and "word."
There are two things we mean by the word "vowel":

1.a speech sound made with the vocal tract open
2.a letter of the alphabet standing for a spoken vowel

"In the English language, the written vowels are a, e, i, o, u, and sometimes w and y. The spoken vowels are much more numerous."

Im confused naw......

The longest word I know that has no vowels in it, not even Y, is "crwths". It's an ancient Celtic instrument that you would play like a fiddle.
