Would you allow your child to have a TV in their bedroom? OR should children have a TV in their bedroom?

I had tvs in my room since I was 4 or 5. I watched it whenever I wanted and I didn't turn out to be a sex crazed thug druggie, or flunk out of school.

umm sometimes i think children should have a tv in their bedroom sometimes i think na. i agree with what darcy said though about around the age of 13 with parental locks on it thats a good idea

yep yep... you shudnt take any offense outa the falming thread. its just a place to release anger and vent. thats what pisses me off... when people take it too seriously and post dises on other threads!

tv's in the room is not a big deal at all. How late did it make u stay up, like the most? for me it was... like... til 6 am on night. They had a monster movie marathon and i was anxious/freaked... heheh

I had one when I was little. I bought another one when I was 12 with money I myself had made. Great, now I feel that I have to say this so I don't piss anyone off into thinking that I use my parents' money.

Television is great, but don't waste all of your time watching it.

I had two, one for the games and one to watch. I still have two, but now we use the big one (the one we used for watching before) for games and the LCD is hung on the wall. I think its all fair and good as long as the kids know when is enough.

well id say they can have a tv, but only after the age of lets say 13 or something. but then you can put restrictions on when and when they cant watch it. plus nowadays you get parental lock and stuff on teles so there no way they can watch tv past their bed time can they!!!
admin Posted - 29 Mar 2004 : 22:40:28
TV in bedroom may encourage the child ot stay up late therefore not getting enough sleep! Which will result in, not being able to concentrate in school!

I'd give him/her a tv, dvd player, PC, ps2, gc and whatever else he/she would want, provided he/she did well in school and kept up with his/her chores and respected his/her mommy.
